CARB Executive Order In Progress

June 10, 2010

A vote to approve Viscon for verification was taken by the California Air Resources Board, Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the California Water Resources Control Board. The Conclusions on Public Health Impact were performed by the office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. This is a comment from that office. “OEHHA staff concluded that the use of Viscon diesel fuel may reduce morbidity and mortality due to pulmonary diseases, including lung cancer in adults and allergic asthma in children, caused by substances in particles contained in diesel exhaust.”

Formal verification via an Executive Order is in progress.
