Speedy Fuel Offers Viscon to Retail Clients

February 10, 2012 Bakersfield, CA. – Bakersfield based Viscon California LLC’s and Speedy Fuel, a Los Angeles, CA based chain of truck stops agreed to start offering Viscon diesel fuel additive to retail customers. Under the agreement, Speedy Fuel will inventory and market one quart bottles of Viscon in its twelve locations throughout the Southern California. The first three locations that began inventorying Viscon are at 1222 E Anaheim St., Wilmington, CA, 1234 W Cowles St., Long Beach CA, and 2432 South Indiana St., Commerce, CA. Viscon’s one quart bottles are a good value, as each treats 640 gallons of diesel fuel.

“Speedy Fuel is a great partner as we undertake our first test of the retail market. For years, our large, corporate users have enjoyed the benefits of our technology. It is time that we offer it to the retail client in an easy to procure and a cost effective way.” said Mike Porter, Viscon CEO

Viscon technology reduces particulate matter emissions from diesel exhaust by over 25%-50%. This fact has recently been officially verified by the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Executive Order. This long awaited verification from the State of California, makes Viscon the sole CARB approved diesel fuel additive in the State.

Viscon’s technology will play a major role in improving air quality and health. This is welcome news for Kern County which is among the worst rated air quality regions in the United States. Viscon’s verification by CARB is considered a significant public health and environmental benefit.

According to the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), “The use of Viscon diesel fuel may reduce morbidity and mortality due to pulmonary diseases, including lung cancer in adults and allergic asthma in children, caused by substances in particles contained in diesel exhaust.” The American Lung Association and research in the State of the Air’s 2011 report attributes much of the poor air quality in the Kern County region to diesel engine exhaust, making Viscon’s technology a viable solution to help tackle this problem.

Viscon is already treating 100 million gallons of fuel per month. To date, Viscon has treated over 3 billion gallons of fuel.
